A different route to Illinois solar

Your Illinois roof.
A different way to solar.

Your roof could turn electricity spending into a path toward solar ownership—with a fixed solar payment and no annual payment escalator.

Federal incentives can still reduce qualifying provider-owned project costs. Add Illinois Shines eligibility and see what the opportunity could look like at your address.

Project eligibility and agreement terms apply. Remaining utility charges can change. No guaranteed discount, savings or home-value increase.

The opportunity didn’t end with the residential credit

Provider incentives. Fixed solar payments.
A path to a system you can own.

Propel’s prepaid structure lets the qualifying system owner incorporate federal incentive value into the project’s economics. You get a clear proposal without relying on a personal solar tax credit. We’ll also review your home’s Illinois Shines eligibility separately.

How does this work after the residential solar credit ended?

Qualifying commercial incentives may remain available to a provider that owns the system. Propel uses a prepaid lease or energy services structure to incorporate that value into project pricing. The homeowner does not claim the provider’s credit. Your proposal states the actual discount, fees and agreement terms.

Does my total electric bill stay fixed?

The solar financing payment can be fixed without an annual payment escalator. Your remaining utility charges, electricity usage and system output can still change. We compare the combined cost, not just the solar payment.

When could I own the system?

Propel describes an option to obtain ownership rights beginning after year five, subject to the agreement. We explain the actual transfer conditions, service coverage and any remaining financing before you sign. Ownership can contribute to resale value, but an increase is not guaranteed.
